La legendaria banda británica The Cure lanzará un compilado celebrando sus 40 años de carrera musical. El material se publicará con el título “40 Live: Curaetion-25 + Anniversary”, bajo el sello Eagle Rock Entertainment, el 18 de octubre.
La producción estaría disponible en 3 formatos: 2 Blu rays/4 CDs, 2 DVDs/4 CDs, así como sin discos en audio: 2 DVD. El material incluye las 2 grandes retrospectivas de la agrupación realizadas el año anterior…
El 24 de junio tendría lugar el Festival Meltdown, en Londres, con la presentación del grupo. El set de 28 temas sería titulado “Cureation-25: From There to Here, From Here to There”, tocando una canción de cada uno de sus 13 discos de estudios en orden cronológico y después lo mismo, al revés, en cuenta regresiva, además de 2 temas inéditos: “It Can Never Be The Same”, “Step Into the Light”.
El 7 de julio The Cure realizó su concierto de 40 Aniversario en el Hyde Park de Londres. Ese día interpretaron 29 temas, siendo documentado por Time Pope para el filme “Anniversary 1978-2018 Live in Hyde Park London”.
Esta presentación llegó a ser exhibida en cines, desde julio y que llegaría a las pantallas nacionales, de la cadena Cinépolis, en una función única el 29 de agosto.
