El video del tema “Enter Sandman”, por Metallica, se estrenó el 30 de julio de 1991. Sería primero de los sencillos extraídos del álbum homónimo del grupo californiano.
Sería el segundo video que la banda Metallica haría en su carrera. Hasta entonces solo habían hecho un audiovisual para el tema “One” (que tendría 2 versiones, uno solo de la banda tocando y otro con extractos del filme Johnny Got His Gun).
El video se registró el 3 de julio de ese año, siendo dirigido por Wayne Isham. Después, el clip ganaría la categoría de Mejor Video de Hard Rock en los premios MTV. También recibiría nominaciones en Cinematografía y Edición.
El tema, con su video, sería desde entonces uno de los más populares en el catálogo del grupo. Además se convertiría en uno de los más reconocibles del rock. Así, la canción es una de las que suele ser estar siempre en el repertorio de la banda durante sus presentaciones,
